Fall/Winter training SEASON
Fall/ Winter Training provides stroke correction and dryland training to keep swimmers and players conditioned in the off-season and continue developing muscle memory from correct stroke technique and player technique.
Sunfish Swim Training is limited to two (2) hours per week abiding by the requirements to be a summer "S" swimmer. Swimmers are grouped by age and ability and can train up to two hours weekly.
Water Polo is limited to two (2) three (3) hours per week abiding by the requirements to be a summer "S" player. Scrimmages are held with other water polo clubs as an opportunity to further enhance their game play and awareness of the sport. This program focuses on some swimming and sport fundamentals to get players to learn the game in a fun and low intensity program.
Artistic Swim Training is offered dependent on a minimum interest level. This program focuses on sport fundamentals to get swimmers to learn the synchronized figures in preparation of the summer competitive program.
If you are done with swimming lessons and want more, or if you want to condition yourself for your other primary sports, our Fall/Winter Training program offers an excellent balance of swimming and general fitness to get you ready for your competitive sports.

SUMMER TRAINING SEASON
There is a lot of important information on this page that you need to review carefully so you and your swimmers get the most out of the Summer swimming season!
Make sure you scroll to the bottom of this page to read the Sunfish Parent Handbook and Club policies, bylaws, codes and expectations.
Volunteering at Sunfish is a whole team effort. More hands, means less work for everyone. We rely on parents to volunteer and help us put together fun club events, run our swim meets, participate in other swim meets, and really make the season special for the kids. We all want our kids to have fun every time they see Sunfish!
Official Meets
We include a list of the swim meets and schedules that our swimmers will attend in the summer. Swim meets, unless otherwise stated, are included in our summer registration. As such, YOU MUST sign up online thru Active in order to be included on the event list for the meet. Please make a careful note of the deadlines. NOTE: If you missed a swim meet that you signed up for, without cancelling by the DEADLINE to the Head Coach, your family will be invoiced the missed race fee.
Club Events
A big part of Sunfish is the summer fun we have as a team. Our Social Director works hard to create a fantastic list of events for the summer and most need help from our parent volunteers. Please review the calendar and save the dates.
Volunteering
Part of your membership obligation is to provide the club with at least 12-25 (dependent on what you registered) hours of volunteering through the summer season. Five to ten (dependent on what you registered) of those hours are to be served during our 2-day SUNFISH'S ANNUAL INVITATIONAL SWIM MEET and the other hours can be picked up at other competitions and Sunfish social events. However, the more hours you put into the Club, the more the Club can provide for your children.
NOTE: When your swimmer attends another Club's meet, the host club will be expecting volunteers from our Club to take volunteer shifts on the weekend (timing and/or officiating). The only ones who really can volunteer at competitions are the families whose children are participating. Volunteers run the all meets so everyone needs to help please.
Parent Night
Our first event of the summer season is an orientation night for new families and a chance for everyone to meet coaches and board members, find out their training groups, review training schedules and order team uniform.
