WHAT IS WATER POLO?
Water polo is a competitive team sport played in the water between two teams. The game consists of four quarters, in which the two teams attempt to score goals by throwing the ball into their opponent's goal. Each team made up of six field players and one goalkeeper, with typically six additional players available for substitution throughout the match. Except for the goalkeeper, players participate in both offensive and defensive roles. Water polo is typically played in an all-deep pool seven feet (or two meters) deep.
Our Water Polo program has offered a chance for all junior and senior players to play on teams that have gone to achieve success at their level of play, and for some go on further to BCSSA Regional and Provincial level championships each season. We have built a fantastic program with our Coaches hard work and dedication to the sport, and would love to see new members join us for some fun in the pool!
