WHY DO WE NEED VOLUNTEERS?
Volunteering is a significant part of our program. We are a non-profit organization that is HEAVILY dependent on volunteers to help run successful events ie swim meets, pasta night, movie night etc. Volunteer hours are mandatory ONLY during our summer season. A list of volunteer opportunities are generally scheduled ahead of time and listed on our summer event schedule.
Depending on the group you registered, you are required to complete either 12 hours or 25 hours to receive your full volunteer fee back. Families are expected to help:
Families are required to pick shifts minimal of:
Volunteering at Sunfish is a whole team, whole season commitment. We rely on our parent members to help us put together fun club events and successful swim meets to make the season special for our kids every year.
Our Board of Directors is also a committee of parents who volunteer their time all year long - managing the program, overseeing coaches, responding to member inquiries, completing registrations, maintaining budgets, confirming rental contracts, securing grants and other financial assistance, etc.
The Club is always looking for volunteers to help grow and support its program. Although volunteering is only mandatory during the summer program, if you would like to volunteer now, please contact our Registrar for more information: [email protected]

- being timers at swim meets
- coordinators at social events
- assistants during scrimmages and competition
Families are required to pick shifts minimal of:
- 2-3 shift at Development Swim Meet
- 2-3 shifts at Invitational Swim Meet
