Swimming Fall-Winter Maintenance

Fall-Winter conditioning programs were created to allow our members to maintain their skills and conditioning during the off-season (October through April). Over time these program have evolved to include opportunities for new swimmers and members alike. We offer introductory and advanced speed swimming for children of all ages.

Sunfish Speed Swimming Levels "Beginner-Intermediate" and "Advanced" are conditioning and stroke improvement programs that are offered to current and new members of the Sunfish Club during the winter swim season. Swimmers may choose to train one or two hours per week. Summer swimmers who trained in Group 1 and 2 during summer 2012 and new members should register in the level "Beginner-Intermediate" training. Summer swimmers who trained in Groups 3 or 4 during summer 2012 should register in "Advanced" level. All swimmers will be assessed during the first practice and may be moved to "Beginner-Intermediate" or "Advanced" level at the coaches discretion. Swimmers are asked to arrive and be on deck for stretching 15 minutes prior to each session. Registrants who did not participate in the Sunfish the previous summer will be required to complete a BCSSA registration form on the first day of classes.
