Required Speed Swimming Equipment Speed swimmers will require: a couple of properly fitting swim suits a pair of goggles Optional equipment includes: swim cap swim fins The Sunfish have a club suits/cap uniform that is used for swim meet competitions. These are included in the registration fee paid for the summer session and are required at any and all swim meets.
At the start of the season the coaches will advise swimmers on any additional equipment that may be needed. Typically a pair of properly sized training fins will be advised.
Note: Sunfish members receive a discount on swimming supplies from Team Aquatics Supplies (TAS), which is located in North Vancouver and at Watermania in Richmond. TAS carries a wide range of goggles, suits, fins and other swim equipment. Their staff can help you select suits and goggles that fit properly.
