Hello Sunfish Families,
On behalf of the Sunfish Board and Sunfish Coaches, we would like to personally welcome you all to the 2016 Summer Season!
This summer we are again excited to announce that our Sunfish registration includes full membership to all our aquatic sports; swimming, water polo, and synchronized swimming! Athletes are able to participate in all aquatic sports for one fee.
For a limited time we are also providing “Team Sunfish” starter packs with early registration! This includes a Sunfish Swim Cap, Sunfish T- Shirt and Swim Suit. Supply is limited to the first 100 paid in full athletes, so register early to ensure you receive your Sunfish gear!
Sunfish Summer Discounts:
Registration forms and fee payments are due by first swim or water polo session.
Please make cheques payable to “North Delta Sunfish” and include all post-dated cheques if choosing payment plan option.

Please plan on attending our parent night prior to the start of the season. We have many activities planned throughout the season so we ask all members to attend our annual parents’ meeting to learn more about our exciting summer season This is an opportunity to meet the coaches, Sunfish board members and to receive your group schedule for practices. Please watch your e-mails and check our website for upcoming details.
In order to keep the costs of our program affordable our members are required to pay a $100.00 per child fundraising deposit. For families with two or more members we are pleased to announce that this year the fundraising deposit will be capped at $200 per family. You will have many opportunities throughout the season to raise funds to earn back your deposit! In September each family will be issued a cheque for the total they earned during the season up to $100.00 per child. We have planned many exciting and fun activities to assist our members in their fund raising efforts, such a pub night, bottle drives, Purdy’s chocolates, cookie and meat orders and mile swim as well.
The Sunfish are a volunteer organization that requires parents’ participation throughout the summer season. Each family is required to volunteer for the Club a minimum of 20 hours throughout the season. 8 of those hours must be carried out at our home meet. If you are not attending the home meet, you can help us with 4 hours of pre-meet duties that fit in with your schedule. Many of your volunteer hours can be carried out at the pool while your child swims (examples: timing at swim meets, filing, ribbon sorting, handing out fundraising orders, bottle sorting etc.).
We encourage all swimmers and water polo players to invite their friends to participate in our Trial Membership (for new BCSSA athletes). This trial membership is valid for 5 sessions and provides the athlete with an opportunity to experience Sunfish and our water programs. The trial membership fee is $35 and will be applied towards a full membership with Sunfish. A completed BCSSA Membership form and fee must be submitted by the 1st trial session.
